On the occasion of World Book Day, Nyaa and Partners hosted a special book evening event at their head office in Yaounde, Cameroon. The event was organised by Nyaa Publishers and the Anglophone Cameroon Writers Association (ACWA), and it featured a variety of activities and discussions related to the book industry.
NYAA PUBLISHERS
The Publishing Department of Nyaa & Partners (Nyaa Publishers) has legal status as a publishing house authorised by the government of Cameroon as a publishing company. The first book published by Nyaa Publishers titled The Woman Who Ate Python and Other Stories by Sammy Oke Akombi was launched in 2006 at the Yaounde Hilton Hotel in the presence of some members of government, university dons, the clergy, artists, businessmen, national and international media organs.
We are supportive of research in the domains of arts, science and technology. We uphold the ideals of good governance which include, transparency, accountability, democracy, equality and respect for human rights.
We also promote youth and women empowerment. Nyaa Publishers respects Christian and moral values in its publications. We, therefore, welcome works in Christian literature/theology and also promote research in this domain.
